Arts & Crafts
Camp Maplehurst 's Arts and Crafts program provides all campers with an opportunity to learn ceramics, painting, drawing, textiles and lapidary in a relaxed and open-minded environment. A variety of craft projects are offered including printmaking, model-making, lanyards, macrame, tie-dye, batik, candle-making and many more.

Photography

Located in the Arts & Crafts building, the Camp Maplehurst darkroom provides campers with the opportunity to shoot, develop, and print photographs using black and white 35mm film. Campers have the opportunity to go around camp and take photos then develop them and make prints using the camp cameras and enlargers.

Ceramics and Sculpture Making

Campers have the oppotunity to learn about ceramics and sculpture making in our Arts & Crafts program. They will learn to create sculptures, throw on the wheel, and fire and glaze their ceramic work. Campers may even trek into the forrest to collect their own clay to create their own works of art.

Rocketry

The Camp Maplehurst rocketry program gives campers the opportunity to build their own model rockets and launch them.
