The Maplehurst infirmary is supervised by a resident nurse and or camp health director.  In case of an emergency, Munson Hospital in Traverse City is less than 30 minutes from camp.  In addition, there is an Urgent Care in Elk Rapids which is 5 minutes from camp. 

Prior to enrollment, every camper is required to have a medical form and permission for treatment form.  The nurse is available 24 hours a day.

One important aspect of the Maplehurst community is that of a safe physical and emotional environment in which each member of the community watches over and protects all others.
