Cabin Counselors/Activity Specialists All Counselors/Activity Specialists live in cabins with their campers and 1-2 other staff. Each counselor will lead activities that match their skills throughout the day. It is hard but very rewarding work.
Lifeguards All Lifeguards live in cabins with their campers and 1-2 other staff. Each lifeguard will lifeguard and also lead activities that match their skills throughout the day. To apply for this position you must posses at least your Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR certifications.
Water-ski Specialists/Boat Drivers We are always looking for qualified water-ski and boat driving staff. We have an 80 acre private lake with a competition water-ski course. We also offer a one week water-ski intensive program. If you are a skilled water-skier, wake-boarder, and/or knee-boarder, with boat driving skills this is the perfect job for you. All waterfront staff live in cabins with campers and 1-2 other staff members.
Head Boys/Girls Counselor The Head Boys/Girls Counselors are responsible for all of the cabins and counselors. With the help of the Directors and Assistant Director, they will solve any issues that may arise. These issues may include staff and/or campers. They will help in the assessing of staff and the place of staff and children into bunks prior to the camp sessions starting. You must be over 21 at the beginning of the summer to apply for this position.
Landsports Director This person organizes all of the land based sports such as, soccer, basketball, mountain biking, archery, ultimate frisbee, tennis, golf, and more. We do have activity specialist that run these programs, but as the Landsports Director, you will make sure these are organized and running smoothly. You must be over 21 at the beginning of the summer to apply for this position.
Waterfront Director The Waterfront Director is a very important job at camp. We have two amazing waterfronts, Torch Lake , which has been recognized by National Geographic as one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, and Maplehurst Lake , which is an 80 private lake with a competition water-ski course. Some of the program areas you will be in charge of are, swim instruction, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, waterskiing, and fishing. You must be over 21 at the beginning of the summer to apply for this position and posses at least your Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR certifications
Maintenance Staff Every summer we hire a couple of Maintenance Staff to help with the our Head Maintenance Staff. This job may include cleaning, painting, landscaping, and fixing things around camp.
Kitchen Staff We hire a few staff members to help out in the kitchen. Responsibilities include setting up for meals, helping to clean dishes, and helping prepare meals.
Nurses/Health Officer During the summer we have at least one nurse and Health Officer. They are responsible for administering medicine and keeping a medicine log, along with treating any minor injuries such as cuts and scrapes, and helping sick campers. We have an Urgent Care center less than 10 minutes away from camp and also a hospital about 30 minutes away.
